DJs/Producers Diplo and Switch have joined forces to create a partnership and album based on the adventures of Major Lazer, a fictional Jamaican commando who lost his arm in the zombie war of 1984. If amputees, lazers, zombie wars and Jamaican accents, weren’t enough excitement for one album Ferry Gouw designed the album’s artwork and two of the single’s videos.
There isn’t a single thing he has done that I don’t find amazing. I’ve been reading some of his past interviews and these are probably the best ones.
Eric Warehiem of Tim and Eric directed another two video’s. I learned first learn of his video making skills went someone linked me to DanceFloorDale, a video for a song called ’Parisian Goldfish’ by Flying Lotus so explicit it has to have it’s own website because it keeps being banned from all other sites.
The track “Zumbi” that features comedian Andy Milonakis has a video directed by Eli Gunn-Jones repulsive and hilarious all the same.
All and all I have nothing but praise for this duo and I could go on and on about how Magical the whole thing is, but instead I’m just going to post the link videos I have been raving about until I can work out why the embedded code does not work.
